Energy
Consumers Council of Canada has represented the interests of residential consumers of energy for many years, particularly in Ontario.
The Council is the major intervenor before the Ontario Energy Board representing the residential consumer. As part of its mandate, the Council seeks fair decisions for Ontario residential energy consumers (of both electricity and natural gas) before the Board.
The Council has appeared, also, in numerous policy-making proceedings before the Board, and made submissions to legislative committees and a variety of advisory committees on proposed changes to laws governing the energy sector.
