Education Session: The Importance of Choosing a Licensed Builder

The Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) licenses new home builders and sellers in Ontario and regulates their conduct. When builders and sellers operate without a licence, it puts homebuyers at risk and undermines confidence in the homebuilding industry.

In this in-person session, the HCRA will discuss the risks of working with unlicensed builders and how purchasers can protect themselves throughout the homebuying process. In addition, the HCRA will discuss real case examples and the actions it has taken to combat illegal activity.
